Paint Your Patio

YOU WILL NEED

• Plascon Professional Gypsum & Plaster Primer applied with a 225 mm epoxy pile roller and 50 mm brush

• Plascon Easy Living Roof & Paving paint Black (base colour) applied with a 225 mm mohair roller and extension pole

• Plascon Easy Living Roof & Paving paint White (stencil tile colour) applied with a velour sponge roller tray set

• Polycell Sugar Soap, a bucket cloth/rag and wire brush for cleaning the surface Polycell Mendall 90 for floor crack repair work, multitool scraper and 100 grit sandpaper

• Masking tape to create a clean border and edge on the floor

• Chalk line kit or level kit Large Victorian Hall Tile Stencil from The Stencil Company

I have DIY'ed many painted floors over the years, but with this DIY project I cracked the code, still going strong 2.5 years later. It's also not a covered patio, exposing the floor every day to the outdoor elements like rain and sun. I used roof paint because of its durability and it paid off!

1| Mix your Polycell Sugar Soap according to the instructions on the pack. Using the wire brush, rags, and water in a bucket, thoroughly clean the surface and allow to dry.
