ROLEX’S SUPPORT FOR GOLF dates back to 1967 and this year, the Swiss watchmaker commemorates 25 years of unwavering partnership with the Masters Tournament. This is one of the four elite men’s events, by invitation only, and played on the same course each year – the Augusta National Golf Club. At this revered event, accuracy is everything, making Rolex the perfect partner.
This year, Rolex Testimonee and World No.1 Scottie Scheffler has won the 88th Masters Tournament to claim the coveted Green Jacket once more. Demonstrating his supreme all-round game, Scheffler produced another formidable display despite the high winds of Thursday and Friday, as well as the sun-baked conditions on Saturday and Sunday.
With this victory, Scheffler joins an exclusive group of Rolex Testimonees to have won the Masters more than once, including Palmer (1958, 1960, 1962, 1964), Player (1961, 1974, 1978), Nicklaus (1963, 1965, 1966, 1972, 1975, 1986), Tom Watson (1977, 1981), Bernhard Langer (1985, 1993), José María Olazábal (1994, 1999) and Tiger Woods (1997, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2019).
The newly crowned 2024 champion had this to share after receiving the iconic Green Jacket: “It’s extremely special to be mentioned in the same context as those individuals. I still remember watching the Rolex commercial from a couple of years ago when I won the Tournament. They always have such beautiful advertisements. Rolex is such a timeless organisation and seeing myself put on the Green Jacket in a Rolex advertisement was pretty wild, and so I’m proud to be associated with their brand. I’m proud to be associated with those other great champions as well.”
