When it comes to trailblazing champions, they don’t get much better than AFLW superstar and former professional basket baller Erin Phillips.
Having cemented her place in the sporting history books, the mum of four played her final game on November 4. Cheering on from the sidelines were Erin’s biggest fans – loving wife Tracy Gahan, and their gorgeous kids, seven year-old twins Blake and Brooklyn, Drew, four, and six-month-old Londyn.
“It’s been an amazing ride and I’m looking forward to the next chapter,” an emotional Erin, 38, said.
“For me, that will mean giving my body a rest and spending more time with my family.”
Holding back tears, she added, “I am so grateful to Port Adelaide and the Adelaide Football Club for giving me the opportunity to play the game I have loved since I was little”.
