THE SUNRISE STAR IS DEALING WITH A SHOCK DIAGNOSIS

With a busy work schedule, combined with her hectic family life, Natalie Barr could be forgiven for letting some personal life admin momentarily slide.

"I hadn't had a skin check for about two years," the Sunrise star tells New Idea.

"But then, one day I noticed what I thought was a tiny pimple on my nose that just wouldn't go away. Instead it would get bigger, then smaller, then bigger again."

The red blemish on the bridge of her nose was so tiny around just three millimetres in size - that neither Nat's husband Andrew, her sons Lachlan, 22, and Hunter, 19, nor her regular makeup artist on Sunrise, noticed the spot.

But when Nat made an appointment with her Sydney-based dermatologist Dr Samuel Seit, it didn't take long for him to diagnose her with skin cancer.
