It was November 1973 and, at 31, I was recovering from a partial hysterectomy. Without warning, I was sucked out of my body with tremendous force and a pop. Looking down, I saw myself lying there in bed.
Am I dead? I wondered, terrified. To my shock, three glowing men in robes appeared. Explaining I'd passed over and they were my guardian angels, they permitted my soul to see my family one last time.
I found myself at home looking on as my seven kids, aged 15 to five, ran riot. It's way past their bedtime, I thought, annoyed at my husband, Joe, who was sitting reading the paper.
Suddenly I was flying through a beautiful blue and orange tunnel with other beings and animals. A brilliant white light embraced me. I'd never felt such love.
