BABY ROVER

The Range Rover Evoque has always been one good-looking car. It is compact and sharp, and manages to capture the essence of the big Rangie but in a smaller size. Now, for 2024, there's a bit of a makeover. The usual stuff- a style update and a spruced-up interior. What caught my eye is the new Autobiography trim, taking cues from its inspiration. But the one we're cruising in is the Dynamic SE, which turns things a bit more sporty.

Talking looks, there’s a fresh grille, updated headlamps, and more aggressive bumpers. The Evoque now boasts Pixel LEDs (not the India-spec cars). They did a neat job lighting up the road in the Velar, so here’s hoping they come in future. The blacked-out Range Rover lettering on the front is a nice touch, and the Evoque now fits in better with the rest of the updated Range Rover family. The sides rock 20-inch wheels, while the Autobiography goes for diamond-cut alloys. There’s a bold character line down the side, and those new flush door handles are a cool addition. At the rear, you’ve got sleeker taillamps, a blacked-out faux diffuser, and a little extra flair – tailpipes on both sides. The whole ‘reductive’ design philosophy is really shining through with these updates.
