Creative freedom is one of the most potent forces in fostering and nurturing innovative watch design. There is no better recent example of this in action than Breitling's Creative Director Sylvain Berneron whose eponymous brand Berneron caught fire with even the most jaded enthusiasts and collectors. The proof will be in the pudding once the debut Berneron Mirage watches begin delivery later this year, though the limited production numbers of just 24 pieces per year means few of us will handle one of these beauties in the metal. At the time of writing, the current wait for a new order is sometime around Q3 of 2026.
