After being off the scene because of health issues, the composer, producer and bassist is back with a jazz fusion CD that is funky, soulful, magical and as always, a listening pleasure. Accompanied by fellow musicians: guitarist Gannin Arnold, drummers Joel Taylor and Tony Moore, keys Tom Zink and percussion Lenny Castro.
The first single released from the CD is a tribute to the late music icon Nick Colionne. Nick was known for his flare on the guitar, his brightly colored wardrobe and beautiful spirit. "Nico's Groove" is a jam that is reminiscent of Nick's own "Just Like That". This track embodies the spirit of Nick and it is a celebration of the life of one of smooth jazz's most beloved musicians.
