'WE are all equal in this world,' the master says to his slave, in a bid to suppress revolt.
'It's just some are more equal than others,' he thinks behind a genteel smile.
George Orwell's ironic truth is embedded within our society. And from generation to generation this truth is passed on. It is inescapable.
We live in a world of haves and have-nots.
And yet all of us are subjected to the same rules, the same laws, and are equally held to account for our actions.
Or are we? This 'equality' that has suppressed uprisings for millennia is malleable, and can be shaped for the convenience of those who 'have' in this world.
In theory, the 'haves' are not above the law, but in practice, history books show us, they have done as they please.
