ON STRAPZY is in no doubt about what SE Dons are walking into next season.

STRAPZ YOURSELF IN FOR THE RIDE!

“I don’t think we’ll be able to have 30 people in the dugout in Saturday football! I’m sure some old-school supporters might not like what we do,” admits the rapper-turned-football club CEO.

If you live in London, Kent or the wider southeast, it has been hard to ignore the rise of SE Dons – the club formed by Strapzy in 2011 – and as of August it will be impossible to overlook them.

That’s because the notorious Sunday league side – built on a platform of YouTube views and a strong local following in Lewisham, south-east London where they have welcomed crowds of several thousand to their matches – have made the big step into the NonLeague pyramid, partnering with Forest Hill Park in the Southern Counties East League first division.

It may have come as something of a surprise to hear the recent announcement that they were leaving Sunday football, so central to their success as a brand in recent times, behind but Strapzy outlined just why they had opted to make the leap.
