A recent study from the University of Gothenburg reveals interesting trends in the mental health of teenagers. While more teens report feeling mentally well, those facing challenges are experiencing stronger depressive symptoms than earlier generations at the same age.

The Sweden-based research compared two groups of teenagers aged 13 to 16: one from 2004 and another from 2019-2020. Both groups used the Children's Depression Inventory (CDI), a well-known self-assessment tool, to evaluate their depressive symptoms.
