Horror suffered by nuke test vets

THE horrors suffered by the "human guinea pigs" who took part in nuclear bomb tests will be exposed in a new documentary.

For the first time, some of the few remaining veterans who endured years of pain will tell their stories.

The BBC film, which also features descendants of those who took part, tells the story of the weapons-testing launched in the 1950s programme It covers the fallout, missing medical records, the government cover-up and the long campaign to try to find the truth.
