A COUPLE whose four-year-old son died from an aggressive brain tumour have called for kinder treatments for children with cancer.

Brave Zac Staples went through surgery, proton beam therapy and intensive chemo.

But, despite the gruelling treatment, he lost his life in April 2022 - just over a year after his shocking diagnosis.

Parents Luke and Karen Staples have now welcomed news The Brain Tumour Charity is investing £1.5million in research to better understand Zac's rare cancer embryonal tumour with multilayered rosettes.

The Europe-wide collaboration is aiming to improve treatment for youngsters.
