A TOURIST who plunged 80ft down a Lake District waterfall that has become a selfie hotspot was airlifted to hospital after a rescue involving 22 volunteers.
The man slipped and fell on Saturday evening as he reached out to help his partner join him on the edge of Fisherplace Gill.
The spot known as "the infinity pool" has boomed in popularity with visitors as a backdrop for stunning selfies posted on social media.
But the Keswick mountain rescue team warned this was its third callout to the site this year.
