THEY have written another chapter in the history books.
And in becoming the first team in English football to win four consecutive titles, Manchester City's complete domination is as frightening as it is daunting for the rest.
It shows their staying power, their longevity and that, even after lifting 17 major trophies as City boss, Pep Guardiola is still hungry for more.
How on earth do you motivate a team which had won everything with last season's Treble? You set them new targets and goals. And they rose to the challenge.
Arsenal pushed them close this season but, at the turn of spring, Guardiola just knows what it takes to get his team over the line.
This was their ninth straight victory in the Premier League and that sort of winning streak has become an annual procession for City during the title run-in. City did not put a foot wrong and all it took was one Arsenal slip - their home defeat to Aston Villa - and Guardiola's men were there ready to pounce.
