ANGEL of Death baby killer Beverley Allitt will go before a panel of experts today as she takes her first steps towards release.
The twisted nurse, who killed four kids under her care in 1991, will be reviewed at a mental health tribunal.
It is the first time the serial killer, 54, will be assessed for a potential transfer to a mainstream prison since her 30-year jail term elapsed.
Her victims' families believe it is a "significant moment" because a transfer to a general prison from Rampton Secure Hospital could trigger her parole.
