Breakfast telly legends open up about battling cancer together

BREAKFAST TV legends Nick Owen and Anne Diamond have been supporting each other as they both battle cancer.

Veteran host Owen, 75, has announced he has been treated for prostate cancer just weeks after Diamond, 68, revealed her breast cancer fight and mastectomy.

Owen told BBC Breakfast: "We both had major surgeries, we've both been talking to each other, either texting or phoning, it's a tough old time.

"Even though she's sort of better and I'm sort of better, you're not quite yourself for a while, it takes it out of you." Owen and Diamond, who were TV's golden couple when they hosted ITV's Good Morning Britain in the 80s, were diagnosed with the condition within months of each other.
