Solario success can be springboard for further stardom

MORTLAKE (3.38), during the namechecked Boat Race, can get a mention for next year's Classics by winning the Virgin Bet Solario Stakes today.

The Sandown Group 3 is notable for having been used as a stepping stone for Kingman, Masar and Too Darn Hot on their way to Classic or Group 1 honours.

Mortlake is not from any of those stars' camps, though Juddmonte and Godolphin are both represented here, but don't be put off.
