MPs have called for urgent dental reform after one in 10 people were found to have pulled their own teeth due to a lack of dentists.
The Commons Health and Social Care Committee launched a review when a poll revealed 22% of people are not registered with a practice and 23% of those said they could not afford soaring treatment costs.
One in 10 quizzed in the YouGov survey said they had resorted to "DIY dentistry" in desperation.
