STEVE COOPER'S Nottingham Forest must have feared the worst after missing a penalty and trailing.
But they showed they won't go down without a huge fight following a dramatic comeback to clamber out of the bottom three by a point.
Jason Steele replaced Robert Sanchez in the Brighton goal after the Seagulls bowed out on penalties in their FA Cup semi-final to Manchester United on Sunday.
And Steele managed to achieve what Sanchez failed to do in seven attempts at Wembley when he dived to his right to deny Brennan Johnson.
It paved the way for Albion to take the lead thanks to 18-year-old Argentine midfielder Facundo Buonanotte in the 38th minute.
The young star's tap-in threatened to bid goodnight' to Forest's top-flight survival hopes which were becoming increasingly fragile.
But Forest showed resilience to level in firsthalf stoppage time through Renan Lodi's deflected cross off Pascal Gross.
