RISHI Sunak has sparked fury for skipping a major D-Day ceremony in France to record a TV interview.
He has been urged to come clean about whether he ducked out of the commemorations in a desperate bid to revive his flagging election campaign.
The Mirror understands Mr Sunak sat down to speak to ITV in the late afternoon or early evening yesterday, after he returned to Britain early from the D-Day events.
The full interview was intended to be broadcast next Wednesday as part of a special episode of current affairs programme Tonight.
