TRAMPOLINING star Bryony Page was jumping for joy after netting her first Olympic gold medal.
Breaking down in tears as the arena erupted for her win yesterday, the first in the sport in Team GB's history, her dream now is to join the circus.
After scoring 56.480 points Bryony, 33 - second in Rio and third in Tokyo faced a nervous wait as Chinese athlete Hu Yicheng performed. But an error meant she had to abandon her routine, giving Bryony, born in Crewe, the win.
Afterwards she said that she could not believe it, adding: "It feels amazing. I'm shocked, surprised, overwhelmed... every emotion you can think of.
"I couldn't contain my emotions at the end. I was in tears before the last girl went. I have about a year now to enjoy trampolining. Then I am off to join Cirque du Soleil, if they will have me. It's been a dream for a long time."
Also winning gold were rowers Emily Craig and Imogen Grant, and the equestrian team of Ben Maher, Scott Brash and Harry Charles.
