Hear our cries...ban ninja blades

THE mum of a teenager who was killed with a ninja sword has pleaded with MPs to finally ban the dangerous weapons.

Pooja Kanda, whose son Ronan was stabbed with a 20in blade, says she hopes the Government "listens to the cries" of grieving parents.

Ronan, 16, was attacked in a case of mistaken identity by Prabjeet Veadhesa and Sukhman Shergill, who were both also 16 at the time, in Wolverhampton in June 2022.

Veadhesa used his mum's ID to get around the age limit of 18 and bought a blade online.

Labour will today attempt to strengthen the Government's Criminal Justice Bill so it includes a ban on the weapons.
