Bellingham was cursing Martinez after fiery clash before making up and praising a 'brilliant player'

JUDE BELLINGHAM admitted he was cursing Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez... before making up with him.

Martinez was booked for a challenge on crunching Bellingham in United's feisty 2-0 defeat to Real Madrid in Houston's NRG Stadium.

Bellingham, who opened the scoring after six minutes with an exquisite chip over new United keeper Andre Onana, said he was furious with Martinez and that he lost his cool in the dressing room at half-time.

But Bellingham, who joined Real from Borussia Dortmund this summer for £88.5million, potentially rising to £115m, said he and Martinez made up after the final whistle and put their differences to one side.

"The little tiff with Martinez is one of those things, Bellingham said.

"He's a brilliant player. I came in at half-time and I was 'f'ing this and f'ing that'.

"But when he came over to wish me all the best when he came off, I really respected it.

"I know what goes on on the pitch stays on the pitch. I saw him at the end of the game and wished him well.

"I can respect that when two players are trying to win for their team and can come together and be respectful.
