A MUM has disputed the finding of an inquest that her son drowned in a river due to a prank.
Alina Joseph said her 13-year-old boy Christopher Kapessa was unlawfully killed.
Assistant coroner David Regan concluded yesterday that Christopher was deliberately pushed into the water.
But he also found there was no malicious intention.
Four witnesses told the inquest that a boy, who can now be named as Jayden Pugh, pushed Christopher from a ledge into the river.
Mr Pugh, 14 at the time but now 19, told the inquest he fell into Christopher and did not deliberately shove him.
But the coroner said: "In my judgment, Jayden Pugh pushed Christopher into the water in a misplaced sense of fun, namely as a prank...
