A DEVASTATED mum screamed "my baby is dead" after her 10-year-old daughter was mauled to death by their new pet dog, believed to be an XL Bully.
The child had recently told pals: "I have got a new pet - an XL Bully." She was excited about caring for a dog and was seen happily playing in a caravan park next to her home the afternoon before the attack on Friday.
One neighbour said yesterday: "It is just a horrible tragedy. She was such a sweet thing.
