AN amateur snapper who bagged the picture of his dreams felt so lucky he picked up a Lotto ticket and scooped £10,000 every month for the next 30 years.
John Stembridge, 51, could not contain his delight when he snapped an image of the native dipper songbird.
He decided to call into his local Waitrose supermarket on his way home and try his luck again with a National Lottery Set For Life ticket.
But John forgot he had bought it and only discovered the slip tucked behind the sun visor of his van weeks later.
He popped into a shop and discovered his numbers - 0, 32, 36, 39, 43 and Life Ball 2 - had bagged him the top prize.
John, who has been a plasterer for 20 years, now plans to use the cash to indulge in his two hobbies, fishing and photography.
