AS NHS waiting lists continue to soar under Tory rule, Rishi Sunak yesterday still refused to accept any responsibility for the crisis.
Instead, the shameless PM tried to blame dedicated staff for going on strike as to the service from collapse after years of austerity.
And furious medics accused him of lying over waiting lists, pointing out they have been going up since the Tories got into No10 in 2010, with 7.5 million now on them.
Mr Sunak said of junior doctor and consultants strikes It's lie Well h strike has be proble during an LBC radio phone-in: "That is the reason the waiting lists are going up. It's as simple as that."
A casualty registrar in Newcastle called Olivia, who was part of the conversation, told him: "It is amazing we are blaming waiting list increases on doctors going on strike. You're the Prime Minister, your staff aren't happy. That's your fault"
Dr Kiara Vincent, a 36-year-old accident and emergency medic in the East Midlands, said of the PM's claim last night: "It's lies, isn't it?
"Well before strikes and Covid, this has been a problem for a long time."
