Top dentist admits Tory shake-up isn't enough to solve NHS chaos

THE country's top dentist admits the Conservatives' NHS dentistry rescue plan is nowhere near enough.

The Government scheme, unveiled last week, does nothing to reverse a decade of real terms funding cuts or reform what has been called a flawed NHS contract.

The contract pays dentists the same for three fillings as 20, and caps the number of patients they are paid to treat.

Jason Wong, NHS England's Chief Dental Officer, publicly supports the new plan. But in response to remarks on Facebook, he admitted it will not fix the crisis.
