SEAN DYCHE will be allowed to continue as Everton boss by new owner Dan Friedkin because he has kept the Blues in the Premier League while slashing costs.

Everton are the only top-flight club to have a net transfer profit since the start of the 2022-23 season, with £79.7 million generated.

Dyche, who succeeded Frank Lampard two years ago next month, has presided over the cost-cutting at Goodison Park, along with director of football Kevin Thelwell.

Chelsea top the net spend over the same period with an eyewatering £653.1m - the only rivals to Everton are Wolves, who spent just £2.73m.

Everton's transfer profit is down to the exit of big names for big money, like Richarlison to Tottenham for £60m in July 2022, Anthony Gordon to Newcastle for £45m and Amadou Onana to Aston Villa for £50m.
