DUMPED XL BULLY TIED TO LAMPPOST

AN ABANDONED XL bully has been handed to a dog kennels after being found "tied to a lamppost".

Valley Forge Boarding Kennels, in North Berwick, East Lothian, received a call from a family who said they discovered the dog, called Kira, on Saturday.

Caroline Anderson, who runs the kennels, offered to take Kira in and after checking her chip discovered the owners were in fact the family who had dropped her off.

Caroline said she believes the family got "scared" ahead of the potential new rules on XL bullies coming into force in Scotland.
