EX-RANGERS star Scott Arfield is facing a battle over plans to open a pub yards from Ibrox after a neighbour objected.
Arfield, 35, who plays for Charlotte FC in the MLS, hopes to convert a former bookies into a bar to draw Gers fans.
He submitted plans last year for the site at 150 Copland Road but was redcarded by council officials.
Concerns were raised over the venue sitting in a residential area and bin storage issues.
