The world's five richest men have seen their fortunes more than double to nearly £ 690 billion in the past three years alone, according to new analysis.
Over the same time, the planet's poorest 60 percent - almost five billion people have been left even worse off, said charity Oxfam.
The yawning chasm was exposed as the super-rich and powerful gathered this week for the World Economic Forum in the Swiss ski resort of Davos.
