lan calls on Raith to stay on top
GET YOUR AHEADS IN THE GAME

IAN MURRAY has urged his high-flying Raith side to show the "hunger and desire" to stay ahead in the Championship title race.

Rovers are three points clear of Dundee United going into 2024 after going on a stunning 15-game unbeaten run.

But since beating United at Tannadice two weeks ago, they have dropped vital home points to Ayr and Arbroath in recent weeks with 4-4 and 2-2 draws.

That led to Murray labeling his side's Saturday stalemate with the Red Lichties as embarrassing".

And he knows they must do much better against Fife rivals Dunfermline today to hold on to first place.

The Raith boss, who penned a new three-year deal on Christmas Eve, said: "For us to be at the top going into New Year is a great testament to what the players have done.

"There has been fantastic progress made by the club as a whole.
