AN SNP Cabinet Secretary hopes a Labour general election win will "reset" relations with the Scottish Government on welfare.

Shirley-Anne Somerville talked up both parties having a "common purpose" on tackling poverty after 15 years of Tory tensions.

The Scottish and UK governments have repeatedly clashed over Tory support for the bedroom tax, the rape clause and Universal Credit cuts.

First Minister Humza Yousaf has declared Labour will win the election and Somerville, his social justice chief, has said she is keen to work with a new Government.
