DEREK MCINNES insists Derek Adams has every right to have his say on Scottish football.
But the Kilmarnock boss believes his Ross County counterpart got it wrong with his statements plus his timing.
McInnes gave his take on Adams' claims about poor standards as he prepared his own side for today's clash with St Johnstone.
The Rugby Park gaffer didn't agree as It loses credibility every right to say what looks like Spouti he wants.
"He's an experienced manager, Derek.
"He knows both leagues. He knows both Scotland and England and is totally entitled to his opinion.
"From the outside looking in, where I thought he got it wrong firstly was the timing of it. If you want to have a conversation and a debate about the standards of Scottish football, then it's probably not when your team has just lost to a 97th-minute goal. There is a lot of emotion from that and then it loses a bit of credibility because it looks like you're just spouting off.
