STEFAN GARTENMANN left Aberdeen last summer but has still remained an important player for them in the transfer market.
In fact, the former Pittodrie loanee played a major part in Jimmy Thelin landing a couple of his top January targets.
He sold his former Ferencvaros team-mate Mats Knoester on a move to the Granite City.
And Gartenmann also helped put the seal on fellow Dane Alexander Jensen when he made his switch to the Dons.
The 28-year-old, who was sent to Scotland for last season by Midtjylland, said: "I spoke to Mats about Aberdeen and to Aberdeen about Mats.
"It is good for my network to keep the connection going. I am close to Mats and have a good relationship with many people at Aberdeen.
"Mats' profile fitted perfectly to what Aberdeen were looking for.
"He was in a difficult situation at Ferencvaros and Aberdeen were as well, so it looked the right solution for everyone.
"So far I've been proved right on that one."
