LECCE are eyeing out-of-favour Celtic defender Gustaf Lagerbielke.

The Italian side are expressing an interest in the Swede, who arrived at Parkhead not even five months ago in a £3million deal from Elfsborg.

The 23-year-old has been unable to command a regular place in the side and could be poised for the Parkhead exit.

Despite scoring for his country in a friendly with Moldova, Lagerbielke did not make one appearance for Brendan Rodgers in October or November.

The centre-back did make a surprise return as a sub against Feyenoord last month to score a winner in the club's final Champions League group tie and also appeared from the bench against St Mirren seven days ago.

But with Cameron Carter-Vickers, Liam.

Scales, Maik Nawrocki and Stephen Welsh ahead of him in the defensive queue, Lagerbielke could go in this window.

Nat Phillips has already returned to Liverpool from his loan spell and Celtic are expected to listen to any offers for the Swede.
