STEVEN NAISMITH swapped shirts in the Champions League, went toe to toe with the best in the English Premier League and collected enough Scotland caps to secure a place in the SFA Hall of Fame.
The Hearts manager also managed to make a bob or two along the way in a playing career that took him from Kilmarnock to Rangers then Everton and Norwich down south before beginning his Tynecastle adventure.
But Naismith admits the best experiences of the lot involve getting his hands on silverware.
And that's why the Jambos gaffer is determined to lead his side to glory in the Scottish Cup this season.
The Gorgie men face a last-eight clash with Morton on Monday and Naismith has told his players there is something special at stake.
He said: "There is an expectation at Hearts that you are certainly challenging for cups.
"Personally, that's why I am doing it, I want to win trophies.
"I won trophies as a player and it's the best memories you'll have in your life.
