A £10K PHONE store heist has been caught on camera after the robbers were filmed crawling across the shop floor.

The sophisticated crooks used the technique to avoid triggering the security alarm for almost 40 minutes before stealing the goods.

They also managed to nick £700 from the till at the Fonehouse store.

Police have launched a probe after the shop in Hawick, Roxburghshire, was targeted at around 4am on Tuesday.

The criminals broke in by cutting a panel through the back door of the shop on the town's High Street.

In the footage of the incident, they can be seen scrambling on their hands and knees to evade the alarm before bagging at least 40 mobile phones and other expensive accessories such as hi-tech headphones.
