Euro dream dies for Warriors as late try saves the English
QUIN FOR THE KILL

GLASGOW'S hopes of reaching the last eight of the Champions Cup were dashed at the death as English giants Harlequins grabbed the winning try minutes from time.

Warriors had looked down and out at 21-7 behind at half-time. But the Scots sidce scored 17 points without reply to stand on the verge of winning the last-16 tie.

It would have been the first time Franco Smith's had won a knockout game in the tournament.

But that late try by replacement hooker Sam Riley was enough to take the home side through to a quarter-final next weekend against either Bordeaux or Saracens.

Harlequins coach Danny Wilson said: "The character of the boys was really pleasing.

They got back in the game well, and to score a rolling maul against them is great.
