PEP GUARDIOLA hailed Manchester City saviour Rodri as the best midfielder on the planet.
The Spaniard rode to the rescue with a late equaliser to salvage a point at the Etihad, after Chelsea had threatened to deliver a severe blow to City's title chances via Raheem Sterling's first league goal since November.
And Guardiola believes there is no one in football better at what he does.
The City boss said: "The holding midfielder has to play positive, for him and for the team, and make the team play. All the highlights have to be for guys up front who score goals and make assists.
"But Rodri always has the ability in important moments to score goals, so he's an unbelievable player.
"He's the best midfield player in the world currently by far, because he is able to do everything.
