13-year-old Muslim boy stabbed & beaten after leaving mosque

A 13-YEAR-OLD Muslim boy was stabbed and beaten in a savage attack after he left a mosque.

Loved ones have since shared an image of the teenager in his hospital bed as they plead for information on the attack.

The picture which shows the teen covered in slash marks across his body was taken as medics prepared to operate on his wounds.

He is understood to have suffered a punctured lung in the stabbing. He was attacked as he walked to a bus stop in Queen's Drive, Glasgow. Passers-by found him in a pool of blood before raising the alarm.

Emergency services raced to the scene, near to the junction with Victoria Road, before the boy was rushed to the Royal Hospital for Children where he was still in a serious condition last night.

Police believe the stabbing happened after an altercation took place at about 8.30pm on Friday.
