Diack Jnr delighted to score against his father’s old club
SON OF A ΤΟΝ

RICCO DIACK was thrilled to get a crucial goal to tell his old man about.

But the unselfish Partick Thistle teenager admits much of his joy was removed after being left gutted for fellow impact sub Ben Stanway.

Diack's equaliser for Kris Doolan's side was just the 18-year-old's second top-team goal and came against his father Iain's former club.

Son Ricco wasn't sure what dad might make of it and said: "I can't answer that one! No, I think he likes the club.

"It's good that I've scored against them now so I can say to him.

"My dad has helped me with everything. When he comes and watches me he lets me know what I've done well and what I need to work on.

"He understands football very well obviously. He's good to have as a dad to help me in these situations and to let me know how to get better.

"It's my second goal so I just need to make sure I work hard to get on the pitch. Scott Robinson came on and he brings a lot of experience.

He knows what he's doing and it's good to play with him.

"With me making the run off him, he knows where I am. He found me and I managed to stick it in the net.

"I can't put it into words. The feeling is just amazing.
