Gunners have firepower to go far as Havertz rises to the big Occasion again

KAI HAVERTZ got Arsenal’s Champions League up and running as the Gunners served notice they mean business in Europe.

Three years ago Havertz scored Chelsea’s winner in the final and the German striker proved that he’s still got the head for the big occasion.

Rising to meet Leandro Trossard’s superb cross in 20 minutes, Havertz’s fifth goal of the season put the Gunners ahead against one of the continent’s financial powerhouses.

And when Bukayo Saka’s free-kick from the near the touchline bounced past f lummoxed PSG keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, Arsenal had valuable breathing space.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta said: “Really, really happy with the performance. We played an opponent that has a lot of personality, is really difficult to deal with when you don’t have the ball.
