Fed-up passengers demand action by ScotRail

FREEZING train passengers have demanded action over a train service they have branded the Polar Express.

Complaints have poured in about dipping temperatures on ScotRail's draught-filled carriages on the Oban to Glasgow winter service.

Regulars now arm themselves with hot water bottles, winter climbing gear and sleeping bags to battle the cold.

This week, the train's heaters packed in, making it even chillier than usual, prompting calls for ScotRail to heat up the carriages.

Martin Douglas recorded 4.1C in his carriage on Tuesday, with other parts of the train dipping to an icy 2.5.
