Tragedy after 85-min mercy crew hold-up

AN OFFICE worker died at Scotland's biggest petrochemicals complex after it took an hour and 25 minutes for paramedics to reach him following a 999 call, an inquiry has heard.

A first-aider who battled to save Graham Anderson, 59, said the Scottish Ambulance Service had taken "what seemed like a lifetime" to turn up during the pandemic.

The store's co-ordinator, from Stirling, was found lying face down in an office at CalaChem, Grangemouth on May 1, 2020. A colleague who found him immediately called for assistance.
