TV EAMONN BACKS CELTS BOSS IN 'GOOD GIRL' SEXISM ROW

VETERAN TV presenter Eamonn Holmes has leapt to the defence of Brendan Rodgers after the Celtic boss came under fire over his "good girl" comment to BBC Scotland reporter Jane Lewis.

Belfast-born Holmes backed Rodgers and claimed the term is widely used in Rodgers' native Northern Ireland. It comes after the Parkhead gaffer was branded a "dinosaur" by a spokesperson for the Scottish Feminist Network.

While Holmes defended Rodgers on GB News, his co-host Isabel Webster said his comment was "belittling".
