SCOTTISH universities are "overdependent" on funds from China, says an SNP MP who was targeted in a Chinese state-sponsored attack.
Glasgow and Edinburgh are among several Scots universities which enrol thousands of Chinese students every year and Stewart McDonald said they must be prepared for potential future sanctions.
The Glasgow South MP was among MPs targeted by China in a cyber-attack at the weekend.
