Jones relishing 'momentum' at Scotstoun

HUW JONES has revealed his reason for turning down a bigmoney move to France last week - because he reckons Glasgow are on course to win silverware over the next couple of years.

And the Warriors centre - set to be named this morning in the Scotland team to play Italy on Saturday reckons the national team are firmly on the right track as well.

French top-flight club Montpellier put in a strong bid for Jones but instead he signed a new two-year deal to stay at Scotstoun.

The lure of playing in France was strong but Jones insists he's more than happy with his progress at Glasgow under boss Franco Smith.
